i sit at this desk in my home office - most days for many hours on end - doing all kinds of things. my life is, as most lives are - pretty multi-faceted. it swings between the songwriting world of nashville, a cutting edge project called MOTIVO consisting of a restaurant and music venue going up in ‘the gulch’ in about a year…
and my passion for food…
i love really good food… i grew up in a home where food really mattered and nyc had it all. i learned early what greatness tasted like and that tends to stay with you. i call it the curse of knowing the difference.
and i really like to cook… but i don’t like things too complicated. i want my dinner to be simple - but i want quality. i admire this trait in every way. it’s a quest for the best. and the near best is just wonderful too, as is the discussion justifying what that might mean.
and i struggle to maintain a reasonable weight. and that right there just might be the understatement of the century…
so
i cook.
i eat.
and i fret about what i’ve cooked to eat.
