I love me some hot fish. I used to get it at Ed's Fish and Pizza, but then they stopped serving fish. Just pizza. So then I got it at a drive through off Buchanan. But now I'm gonna get it at this place. Oof!
Wait a second -- is that fish coated with cornmeal!?? Maybe I can use my funky cornmeal for fried fish.

I will now be rummaging through my stack of business cards to find the catering joint in Charly-West that can bring that crispy-fried goodness to me. I will rent someone's lawn so I can have a party they will cater. Family joint (and no "joint" since they just do weddings and big shindigs). I look forward to Blues, Brews & BBQ and Wine and Jazz every year to find their tent and munch on the perfect crunch of batter on smoosh of white bread.

Oh, to have that greasy goodness in a storefront.

Okay - I have never been to Nashville. It is a bit of a hike from New Zealand, but I have to say that learned from all of my visits to the USA, is that Americans know how to sandwich!

Oh my God, I literally JUST referred to this in my blog in response to one of your comments, and then came over here and saw that you had written about it. I heard about about it "The Splendid Table" and read about it in "Gourmet," so its been deeply ingrained in my central nervous system. Is that also the place that has the chicken that is "hot down to the bone?"
